M is for marrow, a large vegetable.

Marrow… Never heard this word , but if it is the vegetable in the picture then I’ve eaten it a lot! 😉

It’s a bigger version of the one in the picture. There are competitions for growing the largest one and for guessing the weight of a large one. They can be stuffed with minced beef to make a nourishing meal. Sue

Courgette is called zucchini in the US, if that helps (although it probably doesn’t).

Yes, it does. In Germany we use the Italian name as well. Zucchini. I love them at the beginning of harvesting time. And I am always very happy, when the last one is eaten as the plants grow a lot of them and fast 😉
