This is your life

A book about my life – the whole of it.  Now there’s a thought!  No, I don’t want to read it to the end.  We are not intended to know too much in advance, lest we become discouraged or overwhelmed.

Sufficient unto the day…

However, I am going to write the story of my life.  I am not a person who habitually regales others with long histories after a chance encounter.  I am more likely to be the one listening to another’s story.  When I can tear myself away from blogging challenges for long enough I am going to write my story, including the difficult parts.

Twenty years ago I began by writing some of my childhood memories, but I was unable at that time to contemplate writing about my experiences growing up.

Some of this earlier writing is on this blog in the Childhood Memories category.  There is even a page to help you find it.  My motivation for writing those chapters was to explore the differences between south suburban and northern industrial/rural England seen through the eyes of a child.

So I’ll keep this brief and see if I can begin my new project soon.  I feel that the time is right to write about my experiences.  I’m not sure when the time to publish them will be.  Hopefully it will be a useful book.

Today’s prompt fro 365 Days of Writing Prompts is

This is your life

If you could read a book containing all that has happened and will ever happen in your life, would you? If you choose to read it, you must read it cover to cover.
